First match outdoors for the fabulous Verwood ladies who put up a good effort against Poole on a lovely sunny afternoon!
Poole won the toss and opted to bowl first. McEwan bravely kicked off on strike on her first match after starting playing over winter, and top partnership Miller/Partridge delivered 25 runs against some pretty tough bowlers!
In the second half, great job to Maddams (on her first match too) and captain Miller on their great bowling both boasting only 7 runs per over bowled, as well as McEwan for taking a much needed wicket!
Well done to all the Vixens against an impressive Poole team!
Final score 101-4 for hosts Verwood vs 141-1 to Poole, with net score Poole winning by 55 runs. The Verwood Vixens' next match will be against Broadstone at the end of the month!
